19.12.2023: Christmas greetings
Dear friends of the Historischer Lokschuppen Wittenberge
Another year has passed and once again you wonder where the time has gone. In any case, the year was very varied and exciting for us. We organised many great events in 2023 and welcomed many, many guests to our museum. It was great that you visited us. We are now hearing more and more often that guests are recommending us to their friends and acquaintances. Many thanks for that too! This makes us very proud and confirms that we are obviously on the right track.
Now it's time for a little Christmas peace and quiet in the museum. Our guest locomotive 86 1333 has arrived safely back in Wittenberge from its last run on the Heidekrautbahn near Berlin and will now spend the next few weeks and months under cover with us.
A few smaller vehicles are allowed to breathe in a little winter air because their track in the engine shed is currently occupied elsewhere.
Our active members are also taking a little break at home with friends and families at the moment. Only one was spotted in the engine shed yesterday. He was wearing conspicuous high-visibility clothing and had a full beard. Does anyone recognise him? We‘re sure you do.
In any case, he was not only travelling to visit you and us, but hopefully he also has a few presents in his luggage. And if it doesn't come from him, why not treat yourself to a visit to our museum or to one of our next events in the coming year? You can already look forward to something big. We are celebrating the thirtieth anniversary of our association at the beginning of May 2024 and are planning some truly extraordinary activities.
Until our next newsletter, we wish you a pleasant festive season and a good start to the new year.overview
